Copy label texture file name?

Is there a way to copy the filename of a missing texture in a label? Our projects get moved around a lot, and sometimes files go missing. Being able to copy this text would be awesome, just paste it into Everything from voidtools and bam finds it. Am i missing something? CTRL+C doesn’t work either.

Hello Matt,

I have tried on my device to replicate the issue and it appears there is no way of copying the text if the label is missing.

The only workaround I deduced is to screenshot the text with the Snipping Tool on Windows or equivalent on MacOS and collect the text from the screenshot which then can be copied and pasted. If the missing file contains a longer title it may be quicker however with shorter designations re-typing the text, however tedious appears to the only solution.

It might be worth adding this post to the Product Feedback and Ideas thread as well as it generally seems useful not just in the labels tab but also other aspects of the material graph.

I would file it as a bug Matt like Jake says, or create a support ticket. There were other places where you couldn’t use CTRL-C anymore and think some are fixed now.

I guess, the missing textures are listed in the problem protocol. This should have an save or copy to clipboard option.
